Lord Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the Scout Movement, invited young people from all over the World and wanted them to exchange cultures and enjoy adventure. It was in 1920 that the first World Scout Jamboree was realized, held in the Olympia halls in Kensington, London. The World Scout Jamboree is the largest scouting event organised by the Scout Movement, gathering up to 50,000 people from all over the world. It is above all an educational event to promote peace and understanding. The World Scout Jamboree includes a wide variety of activities and also places great importance on the everyday life and interaction on the campsite. The World Scout Jamboree takes place every four years in a different country.

The upcoming one takes place in SaeManGeum, South Korea from 1st to 12th of August 2023.

Draw Your Dream

  Draw your Dream

“Draw your Dream!” expresses the desire of the members of the Scout Movement to transform the 25th World Scout Jamboree into their own festival and to grow their dreams through the event. SaeManGeum will be shaped into a spacious recreational ground, giving young Scouts from around the world an opportunity to purse their hopes and dreams throughout the Jamboree.

The logo for the 25th World Scout Jamboree symbolises the gathering of scouts from around the world who will come together under one tent in Korea to enjoy the jamboree experience. The logo is designed in the shape of traditional Korean tiled roof (Giwa-jibung) and tents, and embodies the spirits of joyful festivals that take place in Korea. As the jamboree is an official event of the World Organization of the Scout Movement the World Scout Emblem is also featured.
